How to Get Window Paint Off Car

We all know that cars can be a mess – from the dust and pollen to the paint that seems to never quite dry. And while many people might resort to harsh chemicals or vigorous scrubbing in an attempt to remove any sort of dirt or dried paint, there are often better, more environmentally-friendly ways to get the job done. In this article, we’ll show you how to get window paint off your car without having to resort to any harsh chemicals or scrubbing tools – using only a cloth and some water!

Wet the paint

If your car has window paint, follow these steps to remove it:

– Wet the paint with a hose or bucket.
– Use a scrub brush to vigorously scrub the paint until it starts to come off in large chunks.
– Rinse the area with water and dry it off.
– Apply acetone or a similar solvent to the chunks of paint that are still on the surface and let it work its way into the pores of the paint.
– Scrub again with a brush and rinse with water.

Use a hose to spray water onto the paint

If you are using a hose, spray the water onto the paint in a circular motion. Do this until the water is no longer coming off of the paint. If you are using a sponge, scrub the paint with it in a circular motion.

Add a degreaser

Window paint can be difficult to remove from a car. Many people use a degreaser to try to remove the paint, but this often does not work.

Let the paint soak for a few minutes

Window paint is difficult to remove and can leave behind a sticky residue. Let the paint soak for a few minutes before attempting to remove it with soap and water. Rub the paint vigorously with a cloth or a hard brush until the paint begins to come off. Then use a liquid detergent and warm water to scrub the area until the paint is gone.

Remove the paint with a scraper

If you have window paint on your car, there is a good chance that you can remove it with a scraper. Start by spraying the scraper with a degreaser. Use short strokes to cover the surface of the paint. Be sure to use a light touch so as not to scratch the car. Once the degreaser has worked its way through the paint, use a brush to scrub off the residue. If necessary, repeat the process with more degreaser and scraper.
