1. Tap “Settings” on the app screen. This will open the Settings menu.
2. Tap “Account” on the Settings menu. This will open the Account menu.
3. Tap “Request Car Seat.” This will open the Request Car Seat form.
4. Fill out all of the requested information, including your child’s name and age. You can also provide the pickup and drop-off addresses and driver’s names.
5. Tap “Submit Request.” This will submit your request to our Safe Rides team for processing. We’ll work to get a car seat for your child as soon as possible!
How do I get a Lyft Child Safe account?
If you’re looking to add Lyft as a child safe vehicle option, you’ll need to first create an account. After you’ve created your account, follow these steps to add your child as a rider:
1. Open the Lyft app and sign in.
2. Tap the menu in the top left corner of the screen, and select Settings.
3. Under “Accounts,” select Add Account.
4. Enter your email address and password, and select Create Account.
5. Once you’ve entered your information, under “Childsafe Options” on the next page, tap Request Car Seat Accommodation.
6. On the following page, enter your child’s full name and age (in months), and select Next.
7. On the following page, you’ll be asked whether you want to use priority seating for your child or have them share a car seat with another rider. Select Priority Seating if you want your child to have their own seat, or Select Share Car Seat if you want them to share a seat with another rider.
Finally, on the confirmation page, select Done to finish adding your child as a rider and create an account!
Can my child ride in the backseat without a car seat?
