-Phillips screwdriver
-Torx T20 bit
-Cordless drill/driver with bit size appropriate for screw you are using
-1 inch wood screws (or equivalent)
First, remove the base of the car seat from the vehicle. This can be done by removing two Phillips screws that fasten the base to the vehicle. Next, use a Torx T20 bit to remove the six screws that secure the infant carrier portion of the car seat to the base. Finally, lift out both pieces and set them aside.
Next, install the new base onto your vehicle in a similar manner and replace all six screws. Once installed, reattach the infant carrier portion of the car seat to the base by placing it over one of the six screw holes and inserting one of the included plastic clips into one of two slots on either side of the carrier.
