What is Power Steering Fluid?

1) Open the hood and remove the front bumper cover.
2) Remove the four screws that hold on the lower grille.
3) Carefully lift up the grille and set it aside.
4) On either side of the motor mount there are hex-head screws holding on metal plates (these screws are often covered by plastic). Use a wrench to remove these screws. The plates will now be able to be pulled out from behind the motor mount.
5) Make sure you save both of these metal plates – you’ll need them
Honda Odyssey Power Steering Fluid Change Procedure
If you are experiencing difficulty with your Honda Odyssey power steering, it is likely that the fluid has become contaminated and needs to be replaced. The procedure for changing the power steering fluid in a Honda Odyssey is as follows:
1. Park the car in a safe location.
2. Remove the instrument panel cover.
3. Locate the power steering pump on the front of the engine bay.
4. Remove the power steering filter and cap.
5. Remove the power steering reservoir (it will be held in by four Phillips head screws).

7. Replace the power steering pump, filter, and cap.
8. Reinstall the instrument panel cover and start the engine.

How to change power steering fluid on a Honda Odyssey

3. Remove the cap from the power steering fluid reservoir.

7. Replace the reservoir cap and dipstick, and reinstall the hose onto the power steering pump.
8. Close the hood and park your Honda Odyssey back in service
