Ever had a car that’s been lowered on jackstands and you can’t get it back up? Here’s how to jack it back up.
What You’ll Need
In order to jack up a car that’s been lowered, you’ll need the following:
-A jack
-A jack stand
-An adjustable wrench
-A floor jack
-A tow truck or other large vehicle
Once you have everything you need, follow these steps:
1. Jack up the car using the jack stand. Make sure the car is firmly planted on the ground before starting to raise it. If the car starts to move while you’re jacking it up, lower it back down and start again from step 1.
2. Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the front and rear wheels.
3. Place the floor jack under one of the front wheels and lift it off the ground.
4. Repeat Step 3 with the other wheel. Be careful not to over-stretch or damage your Suspension Lift!
5. Place the tow truck or other large vehicle in front of the lowered car and hit the gas pedal. The weight of the truck will cause the car to slowly rise into place. Be careful not to hit any obstacles while driving!
How to Jack Up A Car
If you find that your car has been lowered and you want to jack it up, there are a few things you need to know.
The first thing is to make sure that your car is safely parked. If you’re going to jack it up quickly, you don’t want to risk hitting something or someone while you’re working.
Once your car is safely parked, open the trunk and locate the jack. Make sure that it’s in good condition and has plenty of grip. Next, find the car’s two front tires and place them as close to the ground as possible. The closer the tires are to the ground, the more leverage you’ll have when jacking up the car.
Now use the jack to lift the car up slightly off the ground. Be careful not to over-jack the car or you could damage it. Once your car is high enough off of the ground, remove the jack and set it aside.
Now it’s time to work on jacking up each wheel one at a time. Use your hands and feet to push and pull on each wheel, rotating it until it’s firmly in contact with the ground. Be patient and take your time; a poorly done
Tips for Success
If you’re looking to jack up a car that’s been lowered, there are a few tips you’ll want to keep in mind.
1. Make sure the car is stable before starting. Position the jack so that it’s resting against the frame of the car, and position the other end on the ground. Be sure not to lean too far forward or backward while jacking up the car, as this could cause you to lose your balance and potentially fall.
2. Start by raising one end of the jack until it’s just above the vehicle’s frame. Allow the weight of the car to slowly push down on the other end of the jack, pushing it upward until it touches the car’s frame again. Do not overextend yourself, and be careful not to round off the corners of the frame with too much pressure – simply stretching will do.
3. Repeat these steps until you reach the desired height – be sure to read your manufacturer’s instructions for specific guidelines on how high you can go before damaging your car. Always use caution when jacking up a lowered car – if done improperly, it could easily result in damage both to your vehicle and yourself.
