Do you have trouble starting your car with your left hand? If so, it may not be because you’re lazy – it may be because you just don’t know how. In this blog post, we will show you how to start your car with your left hand in just a few easy steps.
What You’ll Need
What You’ll Need:
-An open ignition switch
-A 12-volt battery
-Two 9 volt batteries
-A Jumper Cable
-A spade connector
-A screwdriver or a punch
-Wire cutters or a knife
Step One: Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the car’s battery.
Step Two: Connect one end of the jumper cable to the open ignition switch and plug the other end into an available outlet.
Step Three: Connect one end of each of the 9 volt batteries to the spade connector.
Step Four: Connect each of the positive (+) cables from each 9 Volt battery to a respective engine bay light or accessory plug. (Be sure not to connect them directly to the battery).
Step Five: Reconnect the negative (−) battery cable and tighten it securely.
NOTE: It is important that all connections are secure, otherwise you could damage your car’s electronics.
How To Do It
If you’re right-handed, starting your car with your left hand may seem unnatural at first, but it’s actually a lot easier than starting with the traditional method. Simply put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position. Before you pull out of the parking spot, reach across with your left hand and turn the key all the way to the off position. Now you can start your car normally with your right hand.
Tips For Success
There are a few tips for success when trying to start your car with your left hand. First, make sure you have both hands on the key. Second, be sure to keep your left arm close to your body so it doesn’t get in the way. And finally, use a quick motion—don’t try to hold the key down for too long.
