The Causes of Engine Out of Car

If you’re ever stranded on the side of the road with a dead car engine, don’t panic! There are many things you can do to get your car started again. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the most common causes of engine out of cars and how to fix them.

The Basic Mechanics of an Engine Out of Car

The basics of an engine out of car are as follows:

1. Make sure the car is turned off and the keys are removed from the ignition.
2. Remove any objects in front of the engine that could obstruct it from getting moving. These include seats, buckets, etc.
3. If the car has a tow truck attached, disconnect the tow truck first.
4. Open the hood of the car and locate the battery. It will most likely be either on the left or right side of the car near the engine compartment. If you can’t find it, move to step 5.
5. If you cannot find the battery, use a voltmeter to test for 12 volts at both battery cables (positive and negative). The voltage should be between 12 and 14 volts per cable. If it’s not, then you’ll need to find another source of power to start the engine (such as a jump box).
