What to do if Car Engine doesn’t Start

Trouble starting your car? Here are a few tips to get your engine running again.

Check If There Is Gas in the Tank

If your car doesn’t start, it may be because there isn’t enough gas in the tank. Check to see if there is gas in the car by turning the key and seeing if the car starts. If you don’t have a key, you can check by trying to start the car by pushing on the gas pedal. If you can’t start the car this way, check to see if there is gas in the tank by using a gasoline pump.

Check If The Battery is Charged

If the battery is not charging, check the car’s electrical system. If the car has a 12-volt electrical system, check to see if the battery is connected to the car’s wiring. If it isn’t, connect it and try starting the car. If the car still doesn’t start, replace the battery.

Check All Fuses are Closed

If your car doesn’t start, the first thing you should do is check all the fuses. Fuses protect against electrical short circuits, and can help your car start if something goes wrong with the engine.

Start Your Car With the Key In The Ignition and Turn It To The Off Position

If your car won’t start, the first thing to do is check if the key is in the ignition and turn it to the off position. If you still can’t get your car started, you’ll need to try some of these other tips:

1) Check for fuel. Make sure there’s enough fuel in the tank and try starting the engine again.
2) Check for spark. Jumpstart the engine with a battery or another electrical source if there’s no fuel or power from the ignition.
3) Check for fluid levels. Make sure all fluids are full and topped off (fluid levels can dip below normal during a cold winter start).
4) Replace the battery. If all else fails, it may be time to replace the battery in your car.

If All Else Fails, Try Jumping The Battery

If your car doesn’t start, there are a few things you can try before calling a tow truck. First, check the battery to make sure it’s properly installed and connected. If the battery is good, try jumpstarting the car with another vehicle. If that doesn’t work, you may need to call a tow truck.
