Traction lights are used by drivers of motor vehicles when the conditions warrant. The purpose of a traction light is to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle has lost traction and needs assistance in regaining it.
What is Traction Light on Smart Car?
Traction light is a light on the roof of a car that warns drivers of slippery roads. It is usually blue, but can also be other colors.
Traction Light on Smart Car Benefits
It can be hard to see at night or in low light conditions, but having a traction light on your smart car can make it much easier to navigate. Having the light on means you won’t have to use your headlights as much, allowing you to save energy and keep your car running smoothly. Additionally, if you get stuck in the snow or ice, the light will help you find a way out.
How to Turn On Traction Light on Smart Car
There are times when you might need to turn on your car’s traction light. This is usually done in cases of a flat tire or if you are driving in snow or rain. Here’s how to do it:
1. Turn off the car’s ignition and then remove any key from the door.
2. Push down on the brake pedal until the car comes to a stop.
3. Raise the front end of the car using the handbrake and then release the brake pedal.
4. Open both front doors and make sure all of your belongings are out of the way.
5. Detach the battery cable connector by gently pulling on it while holding down both connectors at the same time.
6. Remove both front wheel covers by inserting a screwdriver into each one and then prying them off.
7. Disconnect both traction motor cables by pushing down on each one while pulling it out of its connector.
8. Verify that both cables have been disconnected before continuing with step 9 below.
9. If needed, trim away any excess cable so that it is free of rust or damage and fits neatly inside each connector housing (see picture below).

When to Replace Traction Light on Smart Car:
If your car has traction control, it’s important to keep the light in good working order. The traction light alerts drivers when the car is about to lose traction, so they can take corrective action. If the light is not working or seems out of date, it’s time to replace it.
